Toulon--Part 2

Rog stopped for a cappuccino, then we were back out on the streets doing some more window shopping. By 1pm, the stalls were shutting down and we decided to head back to the waterfront in search of a leisurely meal before our shuttle ride back to the ship. It seems we were not the only ones with that idea...we saw quite a few of our fellow passengers and ended up joining another couple for lunch. We've met so many nice people on this cruise. I have to say, as far as enjoying the company of other cruise enthusiasts, this trip by far has exceeded all our past experiences.

Last cappuccino of the trip...make that a double please

It went down pretty smooth

Can't miss the Macaroons

There is no end to the torture...must be time for lunch

Seafood was once again the name of the game...every outdoor eatery up and down the water-side docks, served several versions of mussels...it was an easy choice. The special of the day at each place appeared to be a big pot of mussels and a big plate of French fries...interesting combination..it worked for me!

How nice would it have been if our ship had pulled right in to these docks

So yummy, it seemed like a bottomless pot

We said goodbye to Toulon, jumped on the shuttle and were back on the ship by 3:25 in plenty of time for sail a way.

A cool drink...

...and a cool wet towel were always there to greet us when we returned to the ship..thanks a bunch Celebrity!

While Rog started packing, I began to create my thank you notes and distributed the appropriate tips for the crew. We feel it is extremely important to recognize those that contribute to your overall cruise experience. We had many more crew members to thank than normal for this trip....it had truly been an incredible experience...one that we knew would never be duplicated.

Next up...last dinner..last show...last sleep on board the Celebrity Century
